And they are right because there are many. At the same time, this creates many choices that satisfy all tastes. At any point on the island, if you choose to stay, it is certain that there will be a nice beach near you.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning our tour of the island&#8217;s northernmost seaside village, <strong>Plateia Ammos<\/strong> with sandy beach and medium size.<br \/>\nContinuing to the south-west of the island in the village of <strong>Agia Pelagia<\/strong> with organized beach large in size from fine pebbles and sand.<br \/>\nNext to it is the organized <strong>Kakia Lagada<\/strong> beach, awarded with blue flag, with fine sand and overlooking the mountains of the Peloponnese.<br \/>\nWhat&#8217;s down at <strong>Diakofti<\/strong> Port of Kythira with its organized beach and the finest sandy beach on the island.<br \/>\nImmediately after the village of Avlemonas in <strong>Paleopolis<\/strong> the homonymous beach of fine pebbles and sand, which is the largest in Kythira.<\/p>\n<p>Then the <strong>Kaladi<\/strong>\u00a0beach in the shape of a pebbled omega and you are considered one of the most beautiful on the island.<br \/>\nNext to her is the <strong>Fyri Ammos<\/strong> with a fine reddish pebble, large in size, for the clear waters she has won the Blue Flag award.<br \/>\nNext is <strong>Kombonada<\/strong>\u00a0that is big beach with pebble white and round near the village of Karvounades.<br \/>\nImmediately afterwards, the small picturesque beach of <strong>Chalkos<\/strong> with fine pebbles near Kalamos village.<\/p>\n<p>In the southernmost part of the island in the cosmopolitan <strong>Kapsali<\/strong> with the organized beach, with fine pebbles and view of the castle of Chora.<br \/>\nContinuing from the west side of the island is the enchanting beach of <strong>Melidoni<\/strong> with sand and small size.<br \/>\nThe next beach is located in the small fishing village of <strong>Limonas<\/strong> near the village of Mylopotamos with fine sand and small in size.<br \/>\nEnding our walk around the island, there is <strong>Nicodemos<\/strong> beach of medium size with fine pebbles near the village of Logothetianika.<\/p>\n<p class=\"label\">View\u00a0in detail all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kithera.gr\/en\/beaches-kythira\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">beaches in Kythira<\/a> with a lot of photos, and specific information for each beach separately.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The beaches of Kythira are the natural ending of the running waters along their path through the rich lagoons spread throughout the island.
